“Jessica has been an amazing resource of knowledge for our lit
“She was responsive to my needs, by taking my older son to the park.”
“I'm going to a PEPS training so I can lead a group — I had such a great experience in your group!”
“I've used jessica has a doula/chef twice now and both were great experiences. The first was during my pregnancy, when I was on bedrest. She came and made several amazing meals accommodating my many allergies as well as a few snacks for my toddler and myself. In addition, she cleaned out my fridge and kitchen.
I was so impressed at all she had done in such a short period of time. Again she came in and did the same postpartum, cooked a few meals and snacks leaving the kitchen and fridge cleaned and making sure I had lunch, so all I had to do was sit and nurse my newborn. Several friends came over commenting on how great and clean the kitchen looked and how much food was neatly labeled in my fridge.
We all agreed it was worth the cost and not much more then all the take out I would otherwise be ordering. Thank you again Jessica!”
"After the birth of my 2nd son I did not anticipate needing a postpartum doula, but my husband came down with a cold & our family was out of town, we knew we were drowning! Jessica came in, quickly fit in with our family and worked her magic! Our 2 year old still asks when she is coming back! She managed to use & cook with every piece of produce in our farm share box in 2.5 hours.
A week's worth of incredible food was waiting for us. She taught my husband about cooking & eating for anemia & breast feeding and inspired our salad making to new heights. All while still managing to get through a list of little things to be done, laundry, etc.
She was kind and supportive. Her empathy was deeply restorative and I felt safe in her kind care. I whole heartedly and with profound gratitude, recommend Jessica to anyone needing a postpartum doula.”
When I was 32 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with pregnancy Cholestasis, a liver condition that causes terrible itching & early labor, in a small number of women. It can be dangerous to both mother and baby. Jessica referred me to a local acupuncturist who mostly cleared the Cholestasis and enabled me to stay pregnant until 38 weeks.
My labor was induced and Jessica stayed with my husband and I throughout the day. We felt immediately comfortable around her, telling stories and jokes through early labor. She provided a strong stable ground. She was flexible and supported me in medical decisions I made. Most importantly, Jessica was present, in her body and mind, in the intensity of active labor and did this with a great love to the process. I would highly recommend Jessica to help other women in this important life moment.”
“During the chaotic and stressful period that followed my wife’s difficult labor & birth, I returned to work, cooked & took care of my family. Things became very challenging. Hiring Jessica was one of the best decisions I made during this period. While providing valuable postpartum care for my wife and son, she has cooked enough great food for us to eliminate stress related to food preparation and subsequent cleanup. My wife and I are very picky about the food we eat. Excellent meals that Jessica prepared exceeded in quality those that we would cook ourselves.
Jessica worked with us to determine food preferences and everything she prepared was healthy, natural and tasted great. In addition, Jessica shared recipes that greatly reduced the amount of food we used to discard due to our lack of sufficient knowledge to prepare it quickly. I was impressed enough to continue using her services regularly since. I would recommend Jessica's postpartum care and chef services to anyone without hesitation.”
